Overview

Ruby Valley Trek is a newly opened trekking route which is one of the best treks in central Nepal. It offers a rare experience of mountain, culture, and natural biodiversity. The trail takes you to a remote area where the facility of homestays is available however there are no tea houses or lodges. This trekking route serves the visitor with a diverse geographical condition, biodiversity, and culture. The trekking trail of this route offers the breathtaking mountain views and the lifestyle of diversely unified people from different cultural groups. No other trekkers round and splendid natural beauty during the visit to villages surrounded by lush field and the mountain views and cultural charm along the way will leave you yearning for more. An outstanding remote area richness cultural hub of Gurung and Tamang ethnic group and beautiful snow-capped peaks of the Ganesh Himal ranges. This is also called a secret path because not many people travelers take the journey. Our trail passes through the dense forest but most of the trekking trails are unexplored. You will also Ganesh Himal Base Camp trek to observe spectacular views of Ganesh Himal. It has many trekking routes but this is the best and untouched route serving with beautiful Himalayan views.

Ruby Valley Trek is the hidden trekking destination between Langtang national park and Manaslu conservation area. It passes through foothills and lowland farm terrace on the higher altitude and it is possible to make a site visit to the exciting location full of rail track and a tunnel that is deep into the mountainside. This route is perfect for an individual eager to experience something new or out of the ordinary. Trekking in this route passes through quite Tamang village, hot spa, gorges, diverse rich flora, fauna, and we will observe the rich Nepalese cultural traditions from the closest quarter with local people. Most of the people of this region follow Buddhist culture and tradition and many Buddhist monasteries and a Hindu temple are seen along the trek. The trek is fully supported homestay trek which supports the life of the people and will push the area to be grown economically. A camping tour as facilities in this region after a certain point is not capable of lodges and teahouse to lodge trek. Through the trek is a relatively strenuous, people with good physical fitness can complete the track. The perfect season for trekking in this route is between March to May and September to December.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu

Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi (1460m)

Day 03: Trek to Gatlang (2337m)

Day 04: Trek to Somdang (3271 m)

Day 05: Rest day in Somdang

Day 06: Trek to Tippling (3842m)

Day 07: Trek to Shertung (1875m) 5-6 hrs

Day 08:  Trek back Chalish Gaon (1674m) 5 hrs

Day 09: Trek to Jharlang (1750m)

Day 10: Trek to Darkha Gaun (850m) 6-7 hrs

Day 11: Trek to Dhading Beshi and drive to Kathmandu 6 -7 hrs drive

Day12: Final departure

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu

After you reach in Kathmandu valley then there will be one guide of our company will be waiting to pick-up you. And after pick-up, we will directly check out the hotel and have some dinner and make some preparation for the trip and take some rest.   

Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi (1460m)

We will drive towards Syabrubes after having breakfast in the hotel where you have spent last night. On the way, we will get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, and beautiful landscapes before reaching Syabrubesi and spend one night in this beautiful village. 

Day 03: Trek to Gatlang (2238m)

Today is the first-day walking trekking of Langtang Tamang Heritage Trek where we walk from Syabrubesi to Gatlang. We will have our lunch on the way and slowly move towards Gatlang.

Day 04: Trek to Somdang (3271 m) 

Leaving Gatlang from Somdang, we follow a broad trail that leads to Parvati Kunda. The trail gradually up and continue towards Khurpa Bhanjyang. On the way, we will have great views of the mountain and beautiful landscapes.  

Day 05: Rest day in Somdang

Today we don’t start our trekking today is for the rest day. And we will take rest in Somdang. In the daytime after having lunch at the hotel, we will explore all around the Somdang and in the evening we will come back to the hotel and spend one night.  

Day 06: Trek to Tippling (3842m)

Today on the route, we can see the lifestyle of the Tamang or Gurung ethnic group. We will follow the trail that climbs up through dense forest before traversing above a large Kharka where the locals have built a small Gompa.

Day 07: Trek to Shertung (1875m) 5-6 hrs

We will descend to cross over Adha River and start to climb towards the village of Shertung. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards Shertung where we will spend one night.   

Day 08:  Trek back Chalish Gaon (1674m) 5 hrs

From here, we will have a great view of the mountain and beautiful landscapes of this route. On the way, we get an opportunity to take a bath in the natural hot spring and after exploring or taking bath in hot spring then we will back to Chalish Gaon where we will spend one night.   

Day 09: Trek to Jharlang (1750m) 

We start our trekking after having breakfast in the hotel. On the way, we will have a great view of the mountain and landscapes before reaching Jharlang where will spend one night. 

Day 10: Heading to Darkha Gaun (850m) 6-7 hrs

It takes almost 7 hrs to reach Darkha Gaun from Jharlang. The journey takes us to the Darkha Gaun all the downhill walk through the small village. We will have our lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Darkha Gaun where will spend one night.

Day 11: Trek to Dhading Beshi and drive to Kathmandu 6 -7 hrs drive

Today we will drive towards Dhading Beshi after having breakfast in the morning. After reach in Dhading Beshi, we will have our lunch and drive towards Kathmandu valley. It takes 3 hrs to reach Kathmandu from Dhading Beshi. And after reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel and we will explore all around the Thamel Bazaar and then after we will have our farewell dinner and spend one night in this wonderful city.

Day 12: Final departure

With lots of memory, you will drive towards the international airport of Kathmandu valley. We will sure that it’s not the last time in Nepal and you will provide us to see you again and give us a chance to serve you next time too.
