Sherpeni Col Pass Trek is considered as a difficult pass in Nepal only suitable for experienced trekkers and climbers. It is undoubtedly one of the most strenuous treks which require extensive preparations and physical fitness on the part of trekkers. A challenging route that makes your journey difficult but the memorable adventure experience for the lifetime. The sub-tropical valley floor of the mighty Arun River is in places densely forested, contrasting with terraced slopes higher up which is farm by villagers of diverse tribal groups. This is one of the exciting and exploratory trekking tours which Nepal has offered. The trek requires stamina and fitness to fully appreciate the beauty of the region which provides some outstanding views of the mountain. This entire trek offers spectacular scenery and the close-up view of local cultures of the Himalayan. All the treks offer spectacular scenery and the close-up view of the Himalaya. This is a long, varied and a quite strenuous trek suitable for those who are keen trekkers and nature enthusiasts and who would rather be in tranquil. The walk-in follows a picturesque and rarely trekker route which passes through a number of interesting settlements and offers tantalizing views of the highest peak of this planet earth.

Sherpeni Col Pass Trek is without a doubt longest trek in the Makalu region. The trek begins from Tumlingtar after 50 minutes flight from Kathmandu valley. The walk through the various passes and the giant glacier will be supervised by our professional guides. We have been furnishing local pioneer and staffs working in this field splendidly since long years to overcomes extreme challenges and makes your excursion a resplendent memory. From this trekking, we get an opportunity to know about the lifestyle, culture, and tradition of these people who are the local inhabitant of this wonderful region. Also, and this trek is significant because of its return trail with substitutes. You can also put together an even wilder trek by crossing Sherpani col and the west col into the upper Hongu valley. We will have a great chance to see the wonderful views of the mountain which includes Mt Everest, Mt Lhotse, Mt Makalu, Mt Ama Dablam, Mt Nuptse, and many other mountains of this route. While doing trekking in this route, we get the chance to enter Makalu-Barun National Park which is well known as the home of the many rare animals, birds, flora, and fauna. The perfect season for trekking in this route is between February to April and September to December.

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

After you reach in Kathmandu valley then there will be one guide of our company will be waiting to pick-up you. And after pick-up, we will directly check out the hotel and have some dinner and make some preparation for the trip and take some rest.   

Day 02: Fly to Tumlingtar and drive to Num (1040m)

We will drive towards the local airport of Kathmandu to take a flight towards Tumlingtar. After reach in Tumlingtar, we will have our lunch then after taking some rest and slowly move towards Num where we will spend one night in this beautiful village.

Day 03: Trek to Seduwa (1500m) 4-5hrs

A moderately paced walk through the picturesque villages and lush mountain forests will take us to Seduwa. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards Seduwa where we will spend one night. 

Day 04: Trek to Tashigaon (2100m), 5hrs

From Seduwa, we will slowly move towards Tashigaon after having breakfast early in the morning. At the time of trekking, we will cross the river and follow an equally steep ascends up the other side again. We will have our lunch on the way and spend one night in this beautiful land.

Day 05: Trek to Kongma (3500 m) 6 hrs

This day, we will cross the hillside through the quiet village and passing by small paddy fields. From here, we will have a great opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain and crosses many bridges before reaching Khongma Danda where we will spend one night. 

Day 06: Trek to Dobato (3757m)

We will have a great opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, and beautiful landscapes before starting the trekking towards Dobate. On the way, we will have our lunch and take some rest in the hotel and slowly move towards Dobate where we will spend one night.

Day 07: Trek to Yang La Kharka (3600m) 5hrs

After having breakfast early in the morning we will slowly start our trekking towards Yangla Kharka after spending one night in Dobate. We will pass through the lush forest of Rhododendron before reaching Yangla Kharka and spend one night.

Day 08: Rest in Yang La Kharka

Today we don’t start our trekking today is for the rest day. And we will take rest in Yangla Kharka. In the daytime after having lunch at the hotel, we will explore all around the Yangla Kharka and in the evening we will come back to the hotel and spend one night.  

Day 09: Trek to Yak Kharka (4210m) 6 hrs

Spending the wonderful night in Yangla Kharka, we will move towards Yak Kharka after having a hot breakfast. From here, we will have a great mountain view, beautiful landscapes, and crosses many suspensions before reaching Yak Kharka where we will spend one night.  

Day 10: Trek to Makalu Base Camp (4810 m) 5 hrs

In the early morning, we will start our trekking after having breakfast in the hotel. From Yak Kharka, it takes almost 6 to 7 hrs to reach Makalu Base Camp. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will take some rest and slowly move towards Makalu Base Camp and spend one night. 

Day 11: Explore to the Makalu Base camp

Today we don’t start our trekking today is for the rest day. And we will take rest in Makalu Base Camp. In the daytime after having lunch at the hotel, we will explore all around the Makalu Base Camp and in the evening we will come back to the hotel and spend one night.  

Day 12: Trekking to French Camp

After having breakfast early in the morning we will slowly start our trekking towards French Camp after spending one night at Makalu Base Camp. We will pass through the lush forest of Rhododendron before reaching French Camp and spend one night.

Day 13: Trekking to East Col High Camp

Our trail descends through rock falls, green forests, and valley, making our way towards East Col High Camp. We take our lunch on the way and taking some rest and slowly move towards East Col High Camp and spend one night.   

Day 14: Trek from East col to Baruntse base camp (6146m)

Before starting our trekking we will have a hot breakfast in the morning. We take our lunch on the way and taking some rest and slowly move towards Baruntse Base Camp and spend one night.   

Day 15: Trek from Baruntse base camp (5,700m) to Odar Camp

We will have a great chance to see the wonderful views of the mountain, and beautiful landscapes. We will have our lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Baruntse Base Camp where we will spend overnight.

Day 16: Trekking to Seto Pokhari

From here, the trek descends to Seto Pokhari. We will have a great opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain before reaching Seto Pokhari where we will spend overnight. 

Day 17: Trekking to Amphulabcha east camp (5,400m)

We leave Seto Pokhari after having the hot breakfast in the hotel. From here we can see the trail drop closer to the river before climbing Amphu Laptsa pass where we will spend one night.  

Day 18: Cross Amphu Laptsa pass then trek to Amphulapcha west camp

We wake up early in the morning for a walk up to the Amphu Laptsa pass. Mornings are usually sparkling and clear and this is the best time to climb the Amphu Laptsa pass. After exploring all around the Amphu Laptsa pass, from there we will trek towards Amphulapcha west camp where we will spend overnight.

Day 19: Trekking to Chhukung

After reach in Chhukung, we will have our lunch and take some rest in this beautiful place. And we will slowly climb towards Chhukung Ri where we will spend overnight.

Day 20: Trekking to Tyangboche

Spending the wonderful night in Chhukung we will slowly move towards Tengboche after having breakfast in the hotel. We get an opportunity to see the monastery on the way while this day trekking and spend overnight in Tengboche.

Day 21: Trek from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar

Today a steep descent takes us to a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Namche Bazaar where we will spend one night. 

Day 22: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

We leave Namche Bazaar to move towards Lukla. Today is the last day trekking in the Everest region? From Namche Bazaar, it takes almost 5 to 6 hrs to reach Lukla. We will have our lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Lukla where we spend one night.

Day 23: Fly Lukla to Kathmandu

We will take early the morning flight to Kathmandu valley from the airport of Lukla. And after reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel and then after we will have our farewell dinner and spend one night in this wonderful city.  

Day 24: Final departure

With lots of memory, you will drive towards the international airport of Kathmandu valley. We will sure that it’s not the last time in Nepal and you will provide us to see you again and give us a chance to serve you next time too.
