Overview
Everest Gokyo Lake Trek is the very best lake of fresh water with six other lakes which is one of the largest lakes. This trek features the unbelievable scenery of the remote valley and its festival of beautiful Lakes, and stunning Mountain View. At the time of trekking, we will get a chance to see Mt Everest which is the highest mountain in the world. The splendor of this valley is not hidden from any traveler. We will be enchanted by the varied scenery of the valley including the series of the beautiful Gokyo Lake. The lodge is basic but enough comfortable and also the community building porters shelter and a health post in the village. The valley has many other things to offer for the trekker in the footsteps of Gokyo Ri. In this region trekking compasses many other treks which lead us through the forest. This is absolutely an amazing place for wonderful activities such as hiking, trekking, touring, mountaineering and many other thrill adventures activate in the Himalayan. Everest Gokyo Lake Trek is challenging and quite difficult trekking destinations in the Everest region. The trekking begins from Lukla after 30 minutes of scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu valley. In this route, we get a chance to know about the Sherpa people who are the local inhabitant of this route. Not only that, we will have a chance to know about the culture, tradition of these people. Most of the Sherpa people are influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. Most of the people in the vicinity are Sherpa’s and you will amaze you with the stunning views of the mountain which include Mt Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Makalu, and many other mountains of this route. We will enter the Sagarmatha National Park which is the home of many rare birds, animals, flora, and fauna and you will consider it for an entire life. We will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron, pine, oak, and we will have plenty of opportunities to visit monasteries and Sherpa homes of the region. This region is blessed with the superb herbal splendor of wonderful Lake. The perfect timing for trekking in this wonderful route is between February to April and September to December. Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
After you reach in Kathmandu valley then there will be one guide of our company will be waiting to pick-up you. And after pick-up, we will directly check out the hotel and have some dinner and make some preparation for the trip and take some rest.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,651m) 3 - 4 hours
We will drive towards the local airport of Kathmandu to take a mountain flight towards Lukla. After reach in Lukla, we will have our breakfast then after slowly move towards Phakding. On this time, we will walk down to the Dudh Koshi River where we connect with the main path to Namche Bazaar and spend overnight in Phakding.
Day 03: Heading to Namche Bazaar (3,438m) 5 - 6 hours
We will walk to Namche Bazaar from Phakding. We will cross many suspension bridges of this route. Our trail takes us first over the Dudh Koshi River and then through the beautiful pine forest of Monjo. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Namche Bazaar where we will spend overnight.
Day 04: Rest Day in Namche Bazaar
Today we don’t start our trekking today is for the rest day. And we will take rest in Namche Bazaar. In the daytime after having lunch at the hotel, we will explore all around the Namche Bazaar and in the evening we will come back to the hotel and spend one night.
Day 05: Trek to Phortse (3,680m) 5-6 hours
Spending the wonderful night in Namche Bazaar we will slowly move towards Phortse after having breakfast in the hotel. We get an opportunity to see the monastery on the way while this day trekking and spend overnight in Phortse.
Day 06: Trek to Machhermo (4,470m) 4-5 hours
Our trail passes through forests, waterfalls, and bridges. The beautiful stream flowing down from the Kyajo Ri and Phari Lapche mountains runs through the middle of the village before draining into the Dudh Koshi River.
Day 07: Trek to Gokyo (4,800 m) 4-5 hours
We leave Thangna for Gokyo after having breakfast early in the morning in the hotel. This valley stands by the third lake and Cho-Oyu Mountains as a backdrop set an amazing spectacular sight at this Junction and spends overnight in this land.
Day 08: Hike Up Gokyo Ri (5355m) and Trek to Machhermo 7 Hours
Early Morning hike up to Gokyo Ri Peak. to See More than 20 Expedition which is Highest Peak Mt Everest 8848m. includes Lhotse, Pumori, Nuptse, Thamserku, Baruntse, Makalu, Cho Yu, AmaDablam and Many of Trekking Peak. from the Gokkyo Ri can see one of the Amazing Sunrise View around Khumbu Himalayan Ranges with beautiful Khumbu glacier. return to the same lodge then takes breakfast Continue Trek to Mechhermo stay overnight at lodge.
Day 09: Trek to Namche Bazaar 6 - 7 hours
Today a steep descent takes us to a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Namche Bazaar where we will spend one night.
Day 10: Heading to Lukla (2,860m) 6 - 7 hours
We leave Namche Bazaar to move towards Lukla. Today is the last day trekking in the Everest region? From Namche Bazaar, it takes almost 5 to 6 hrs to reach Lukla. We will have our lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Lukla where we spend one night.
Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu
We will take early the morning flight to Kathmandu valley from the airport of Lukla. And after reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel and then after we will have our farewell dinner and spend one night in this wonderful city.
Day 12: Final departure
With lots of memory, you will drive towards the international airport of Kathmandu valley. We will sure that it’s not the last time in Nepal and you will provide us to see you again and give us a chance to serve you next time too.
