Overview
Shivapuri Nagarkot Trek is one of the popular and short treks around the Kathmandu valley which is located in the country’s middle hill on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu valley. This trekking route offers us the entire thing that a trekker wants while making a journey at Nepal. Sunrise and sunset views are perfect from this entire hill. The spring offers early flowering rhododendron through the autumn and winter, and wonderful mountain views. Even though being so close, yet it provides a visitor a glimpse of the remoteness and the grandeur of the village found in Nepal. It is renowned for watershed and wildlife which is the second highest hill that surrounds the valley. While hiking, we enjoy an excellent view of the Kathmandu valley, view of the Annapurna ranges, and Langtang Himal. Although it is so near to Kathmandu a fast-growing modern city which takes you after an hour drive so near to nature immediately exposing a typical rural Nepal with the magnificent view of the different ranges. Trekking in this route takes you through typical Nepalese countryside and exposes you to the various ethnic groups of Nepal.
Shivapuri Nagarkot Trek an ideal trek for those with limited time and desire to see a lot of the Kathmandu valley. This shortest trek offers you a golden opportunity to explore the beauty of nature, walk through the beautiful village and farmlands, wonderful views of the Himalaya, sunrise and sunset views, and the diverse vegetations of flora and fauna. We can see the beautiful green mountains along with the glittering White Mountain. On the way in the hiking routes can enjoy the views of the Langtang Mountain Ranges. Very few people trek around the Kathmandu valley which offers a rich insight into the lives, history, culture, and religion of its inhabitants. You will walk through the villages, green jungle, streams, visit temples, monasteries and enjoy the views of the landscapes of Kathmandu valley with the wonderful mountain views. This route is also known as the best spot for the nature lover. While doing trekking in this route, we get a chance to enter Shivapuri national park where we can get the chance to see many rare birds, animals, flora, and fauna and during the whole year, this trek is good for bird watching route as about 200 species of the birds makes the permanent house. The perfect season for trekking in this route is in spring, autumn and winter.

Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
After you reach in Kathmandu valley then there will be one guide of our company will be waiting to pick-up you. And after pick-up, we will directly check out the hotel and have some dinner and make some preparation for the trip and take some rest.
Day 02: Drive to Sundarijal & trek to Chisapani (2160m) 5-6 hrs
The first settlement we come across is Mulkarka mostly inhabited by the Tamang people. The trail heads up to the concrete step beside the pipeline which supplies drinking water for the valley.
Day 03: Chisopani - Nagarkot 6-7 hrs
Today we get an opportunity to see the excellent views of sunrise and if the weather is clear we also get a chance to see the wonderful views of the world’s highest mountain Mt Everest. It takes almost 6 to 7 hrs to reach Nagarkot from Chisopani.
Day 04: Nagarkot - Kathmandu
You will have sunrise views early in the morning. The town is the best testimony of preservations of ancient and medieval arts and architecture. After 2 hrs drive from Nagarkot, we will reach Kathmandu valley. And after reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel and then after we will have our farewell dinner and spend one night in this wonderful city.
Day 05: Final departure
With lots of memory, you will drive towards the international airport of Kathmandu valley. We will sure that it’s not the last time in Nepal and you will provide us to see you again and give us a chance to serve you next time too.
