Overview

Langtang Ganja La Pass Trek is one of the middle difficulty Himalayan passes of the route in the Langtang region which is closest trekking destination from the Kathmandu valley. The trail gradually climbs alongside the Langtang Khola, passing through the forests of Bamboo, maple, oak, and pine. These treks are adventurous and unique than other trekking in the Langtang region. It is an astonishing trekking trail of Nepal which is specially designed with the combination of the remote and picturesque valley of the Langtang region. The trek takes you to a beautiful valley of Langtang that is embedded with azure-colored mountain lakes. The valley is famous as the valley of the glacier. The trekking adventure takes trekkers to the scenic Langtang valley in the Langtang region of the Himalayan. A visit to this region offers an opportunity to explore typical villages, bag small peaks and visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. This route is considered as one of the most popular narrow mountain valleys at the base of central Himalaya. Trekking and hiking in this route have many scopes where we get a chance to see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful landscapes, small villages, and wonderful views of the forest scenery of this route.

Langtang Ganja la Pass Trek is one of the challenging trekking destinations in the Langtang region. It is a combination trekking about tea house and camping trek have to do during the trek in the Langtang valley. This trek also offers an opportunity to explore Tibetan and Tamang villages, climb small peaks and visit many glaciers of this wonderful route. During the time of trekking, we get an opportunity to known about the Tamang people who are the local inhabitant of this region. We also have a chance to know about the culture, traditions, and the lifestyle of these peoples. Many people of this route have an interest in Tibetan lifestyle and most of the people of this route are influenced by Buddhism. While heading to this route, we pass through the lush forest of rhododendron, pine, and oak. All these treks offer spectacular scenery and the close-up view of the Himalaya. You will get the chance to see the wonderful views of the mountain, landscapes; natural hot spring which gives makes your journey more adventurous and enjoyable. At the time of trekking, we get an opportunity to explore the Langtang national park which is the home of many rare birds, animals, flora, and fauna. The perfect time for trekking in this wonderful land is between March to May and September to December.

Day 04: Trek to Mundu (3543m) 6-7 hrs

Day 05: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870m) 3 hrs

Day 06: Explore Tserko Ri (5000m) 7-8 hrs

Day 07: Trek to Ganja La Phedi (4300m) 5-6 hr

Day 08: Cross the Ganja La pass (5122m) Trek to Keldang (4250m) 6-7 hr

Day 09: Heading to Yak Kharka (4000m) 5-6 hr

Day 10: Heading to Tarke Gyang (2,590m) 5-6 hrs

Day 11: Trek to Sermathang (2,610m) 3-4 hr

Day 12 Trek to Malemchi Pul Bazaar and drive to Kathmandu drive

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After you reach in Kathmandu valley then there will be one guide of our company will be waiting to pick-up you. And after pick-up, we will directly check out the hotel and have some dinner and make some preparation for the trip and take some rest.   

Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m) 7 hrs

We will drive towards Syabrubes after having breakfast in the hotel where you have spent last night. On the way, we will get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, and beautiful landscapes before reaching Syabrubesi and spend one night in this beautiful village. 

Day 03: Heading to Lama Hotel (2,380m) 6 hrs

Today is the first-day walking trekking of Langtang valley trek where we walk from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel. We will have our lunch on the way and then take some rest in that hotel and slowly move towards Lama Hotel where we will spend one night.

Day 04: Trek to Mundu (3543m) 6-7 hrs

Our trail continues ascending from Lama Hotel and enjoys the mountain landscapes with abundant waterfalls. We will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron, oak, pine, hemlock high above the Langtang Khola.  

Day 05: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870m) 3 hrs

The trail winds through the villages and climbs a ridge topped by a large Chorten. We also pass by water mills, prayers Chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. 

Day 06: Explore Tserko Ri (5000m) 7-8 hrs

Today we don’t start our trekking today is for the rest day. And we will take rest in Tserko Ri. In the daytime after having lunch at the hotel, we will explore all around the Tserko Ri and in the evening we will come back to the hotel and spend one night.

Day 07: Trek to Ganja La Phedi (4300m) 5-6 hr

Our real adventure starts following the Langtang River. The time for getting to our destinations also depends upon the season of the trek. The trek ascends through rhododendron forest.

Day 08: Cross the Ganja La pass (5122m) Trek to Keldang (4250m) 6-7 hr

Enjoy the spectacular views from the pass. We will explore all around the Ganja La pass then after have our lunch and take some rest and slowly moves towards Keldang and spend one night in this beautiful village.

Day 09: Heading to Yak Kharka (4000m) 5-6 hr

Today we will be a moderate and gradual work following a ridgeline. We descend further down following a prominent ridgeline. We will have our lunch on the way and slowly start our trekking towards Yak Kharka where we will spend overnight.

Day 10: Heading to Tarke Gyang (2,590m) 5-6 hrs

After having breakfast early in the morning, we will walk back to Tarkegyang. We will have a great view of the mountain at the time of trekking and we will have our lunch on the way and slowly start our trekking towards the Tarkegyang where we will spend overnight.

Day 11: Trek to Sermathang (2,610m) 3-4 hr

The trail winds through the villages and climbs a ridge topped by a large Chorten. We also pass by water mills, prayers Chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. We will have our lunch on the way and slowly move towards Sermathang where we will spend overnight.

Day 12 Trek to Malemchi Pul Bazaar and drive to Kathmandu drive

We will pass through the many small lakes before reaching Melamchi Pul Bazaar. After reach in Melamchi Pul Bazaar, we will have our lunch then after we will slowly drive towards Kathmandu valley. After 4 hrs drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar, we will reach Kathmandu valley. And after reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel and then after we will have our farewell dinner and spend one night in this wonderful city.   

Day 13: Final departure

With lots of memory, you will drive towards the international airport of Kathmandu valley. We will sure that it’s not the last time in Nepal and you will provide us to see you again and give us a chance to serve you next time too.
