Overview

Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of the challenging treks in Nepal which is located in the western part of Nepal. It is a fantastic experience as walk leads through tribal villages with interesting culture and simple way of life among the hill people in the shade of high mountains of Midwest Himalaya. Once in this trek, you will delve into the rich culture and natural beauty of the region which has a dominance of Tibetan culture. This trek takes you into the home of the world 8th highest mountain Mt Manaslu. This trek is getting more and more popular as a new trekking destination but it is still seeing fewer trekkers compared to the established trekking route in the Annapurna region. The local inhabitant and their cultures and traditions are also major attractions. At the backdrop, magnificent Himalayan ranges can be seen along the trail. A breathtaking goes through a little-explored area of Nepal with stunning scenery and friendly villagers. This trekking region is a natural habitat for many elusive wild animals. Trekking around this region offers an opportunity to experiences a reasonably untouched region of Nepal and super beauty along the border of Nepal and China. You will also come across cultural diversities and natural scenery with high altitude dreamy glacier lake and floras, and fauna.

Manaslu circuit trek is newly opened trekking destination in the Manaslu region. Trekking in this route will lead you the highest land attached to Tibet with some opportunities to experiences Tibetan influenced culture and faith. The trek will begin from Sotikhola after eight to nine-hour drive from the Kathmandu valley. It passes through foothills and lowland farm terrace on the higher altitude and it is possible to make a site visit to the exciting location full of rail track and a tunnel that is deep into the mountainside. This route is perfect for an individual eager to experience something new or out of the ordinary. You will pass through the subtropical jungle at the lower altitude and witness remarkable mountain views. The entire route is adorned with the perfect views of the snow-capped mountains. This is the unique combination of rich cultural heritage and adventure amidst vantage point with incomparable beauty and rare biodiversity. We will enter the Manaslu conservation area where we get a chance to see many rare birds, animals, flora, and fauna. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola (710m) 8 – 9 hrs

Day 03: Soti Khola to Maccha Khola (900m) 6 – 7 hrs

Day 04:  Maccha Khola to Jagat (1410m) 6 – 7 hrs

Day 05:  Jagat to Deng (1,804m) 6 – 7 hrs

Day 06: Deng to Namrung (2630m) 6 – 7 hrs

Day 07:  Namrung to Samagaon (3530m) 6-7 hrs

Day 08:  Rest day in Samagaon

Day 09:  Samagaon to Samdo (3860m) 4 – 5 hrs

Day 10: Rest Day in Samdo

Day 11:  Samdo to Dharamsala (4460m) 4 – 5 hrs

Day 12:  Dharamsala to Bimthang (3720m) 8 – 9 hrs

Day 13: Bimthang to Tilije (2300m) 5 – 6 hrs

Day 14:  Tilije to Tal (1700m) 5 – 6 hrs

Day 15:  Tal to Syange (1080m) 6 – 7 hrs

Day 16: Syange to Kathmandu

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After you reach in Kathmandu valley then there will be one guide of our company will be waiting to pick-up you. And after pick-up, we will directly check out the hotel and have some dinner and make some preparation for the trip and take some rest.   

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola (710m) 8 - 9 hrs

We will drive towards Sotikhola after having breakfast in the hotel where you have spent last night. On the way, we will get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, and beautiful landscapes before reaching Sotikhola and spend one night in this beautiful village. 

Day 03: Soti Khola to Maccha Khola (900m) 6 - 7 hrs

Today is the first-day walking trek where we will walk from Soti Khola to Maccha Khola. We trek through the beautiful Sal forest then climb onto a ridge above huge rapids on the Budhi Gandaki.    

Day 04:  Maccha Khola to Jagat (1410m) 6 - 7 hrs

From Maccha Khola, we will cross the Tharo Khola and reach Khorlabesi which is one of the beautiful Gurung villages. The trail to the main village is surprisingly awesome along the slate pave trails. We will cross many suspension bridges before reaching Jagat where we will spend one night.  

Day 05:  Jagat to Deng (1,804m) 6 - 7 hrs

The narrow tail makes some minor ups and downs and eventually crosses. We continue to Ghatta Khola and walk through a long suspension bridge to reach Phillim. We cross the strong metal bridge over Budhi Gandaki and trek west of the river.

Day 06: Deng to Namrung (2630m) 6 - 7 hrs

We will take the route through the Pork village which is an amazing viewpoint for Siring Himal. We chase trail that stretches upstream on the bank of Deng River and we will have our lunch on the way then after slowly walk towards Namrung where we will spend overnight.   

Day 07:  Namrung to Samagaon (3530m) 6-7 hrs

The trail drops and crosses the side valley of Simnang Himal with close Ganesh Himal always close by. We will get a chance to visit the local monastery and explored Tibetan culture. We will have our lunch on the way and slowly move towards Samagaon where we will spend one night.

Day 08:  Rest day in Samagaon

Today we don’t start our trekking today is for the rest day. And we will take rest in Samagaon. In the daytime after having lunch at the hotel, we will explore all around the Samagaon and in the evening we will come back to the hotel and spend one night.  

Day 09:  Samagaon to Samdo (3860m) 4 - 5 hrs

Today our trail is uphill and we follow mostly the way gently up. We walk on this day have an easy, gentle walk today from side to side with farmland and villages to arrive at Samdo where we will go spend overnight.     

Day 10: Rest Day in Samdo

Today we don’t start our trekking today is for the rest day. And we will take rest in Samdo. In the daytime after having lunch at the hotel, we will explore all around the Samdo and in the evening we will come back to the hotel and spend one night.  

Day 11:  Samdo to Dharamsala (4460m) 4 - 5 hrs

We will continue our way upwards to reach the stone guest house. We will leave behind the Budhi Gandaki River and walk through the trail that takes us up the acclivity of the high hill. We will have our lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Dharamsala where will spend one night.    

Day 12:  Dharamsala to Bimthang (3720m) 8 - 9 hrs

Today on the route, we can see the lifestyle of the Tamang or Gurung ethnic group. We will have our lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Bimthang where will spend one night.   

Day 13: Bimthang to Tilije (2300m) 5 - 6 hrs

The trail winds through the villages and climbs a ridge topped by a large Chorten. We also pass by water mills, prayers Chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. 

Day 14:  Tilije to Tal (1700m) 5 - 6 hrs

We leave Tilije for Tal after having breakfast in the hotel. At the time of this day trekking, we will pass through monastery, farms, and waterfalls before reaching Tal where we will spend one night.

Day 15:  Heading to Syange (1080m) 6 - 7 hrs

We pass through a beautiful village and cross the bridges of Dudh Koshi. On the time of trekking, we will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron and pine forest before reaching Syange where we will spend overnight.  

Day 16: Syange to Kathmandu

In the morning after having breakfast, we will drive back towards the Kathmandu valley by the same route. After 8 to 9 hrs drive from Syange, we will reach Kathmandu valley. And after reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel and then after we will have our farewell dinner and spend one night in this wonderful city.   

Day 16: Final departure

With lots of memory, you will drive towards the international airport of Kathmandu valley. We will sure that it’s not the last time in Nepal and you will provide us to see you again and give us a chance to serve you next time too.
